Appalachian Ramp Salt – Wild Flavor from the Mountains
Ramps are more than just an ingredient in West Virginia—they’re a rite of spring, a symbol of our connection to the land, and a treasured Appalachian tradition. These wild mountain leeks are foraged only a few weeks each year and bring a bold, garlicky-onion flavor that’s unlike anything else.
Our Ramp Salt blends these hand-harvested ramps with J.Q. Dickinson heirloom salt, capturing the essence of Appalachia in a jar. It’s a taste of the forest floor, the hillside trails, and grandma’s kitchen all in one.
I love it most on risotto—it adds a deep, earthy layer that makes every bite feel like a warm hug from the mountains. But it’s just as good on potatoes, eggs, roasted veggies, beans, or sprinkled on fresh popcorn.
A little wild. A little nostalgic. A lot Appalachian.
Meet the Founder – Corey Beahm
Healing Harvest was born from both personal passion and professional purpose. As a lifelong West Virginian, community advocate, and trauma-informed educator, I’ve spent years working alongside families, frontline workers, and local leaders to build stronger, more resilient communities. I’ve seen firsthand how trauma, poverty, and lack of access to opportunity can hold people back—and how connection, knowledge, and dignity can help them rise.
Healing Harvest is my way of combining what I know with what I love. It’s where the power of Appalachian-grown foods, the strength of local partnerships, and a commitment to healing through economic and educational opportunity all come together. It’s not just about syrup, salt, or herbal goods—it’s about rebuilding pride, creating pathways, and honoring the land and people who make this region so rich with potential.
Every product we offer tells a story. It reflects our values, our roots, and our vision of a more well, more connected, more empowered West Virginia. Healing Harvest exists because I believe that healing is possible—one act of kindness, one shared meal, one jar at a time.
