Beef not your favorite? See all Broth Kits HERE.

    The Beef Broth Kit contains:

    2 lbs. Beef Soup Bones
    1 lb. Beef Shin Bones

Use your slow cooker, instant pot, stovetop, or a pot in the oven at its lowest setting (150-170 F).

Place contents of your Broth Kit into a pot, and cover with cold water by no more than 1 inch. Simmer on low for 12-24 hours (or pressure cook for 4 hours). Strain out bones and discard. Use or freeze broth within 4 days.

    Optional steps:
    – Add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to the cold water to bring out more minerals from the bones.
    – Initially, bring your pot to a boil and skim off any scum that rises to the top. (This will allow you to make a clearer broth).
    – Add vegetables and/or herbs during the second half of the period of cooking to add more flavor/nutrients. This is a great way to use vegetable waste, such as carrot peelings, celery tops, onion skins.

    How to use finished broth?
    – Add some salt and drink warm. (It can be an acquired taste.) Perfect for an upset stomach!
    – Add to any soup recipe.
    – Replace any liquid in any savory recipe. Great in tomato sauce, mashed potatoes, and sausage gravy – everything!
    – Add an extra boost by cooking rice, quinoa, etc. in your broth!
