Celebrate March & St. Patrick’s Day with an Irish classic: Irish Soda Bread from Bolivar Bread Bakery!
This recipe is the recipe of Bolivar Bread owner Katie’s grandma, so it’s authentically old-world Irish, for sure! While indulging your Irish side, choose from a dozen other varieties of small-batch, locally made breads. Shop Bolivar Bread Bakery.
Today marks 3 years for Community Markets Inc., but it also officially kicks off the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle Unity Campaign!
CMI is participating for the first time in this annual United Way fundraiser that brings together nonprofits from around the Eastern Panhandle of WV to fundraise together for various projects and causes that each nonprofit has. Through March 15, CMI is raising $26,400 to purchase a larger refrigerated trailer so that more needy families are fed and our Market can grow and accommodate the increasing demand for affordable groceries from local farms.
Why donate to CMI through the Unity Campaign?
Your donations to CMI through United Way during the Unity Campaign are matched $0.30 – $0.60 on the dollar, thanks to match funds from United Way. While the money is donated to United Way, 100% is passed on to CMI. Please help us reach our goal and make your donations go further! To donate online, go HERE, text UNITY2035 to 71777, or write a check to United Way of the Eastern Panhandle with “Unity Campaign – CMI” in the memo and either bring it to next week’s Market or mail it to 24 District Way #201, Martinsburg, WV 25404. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your generosity!
Enjoy our Market’s selection of over 200 local foods and products!
We look forward to seeing you all this Thursday, March 7th, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Charles Town, WV!
