Lard mimics our natural skin oils which makes our soaps especially nourishing. It’s a gentle and natural way to cleanse your skin. Our soaps use lard from a small family farm in Blacksburg, Virginia and are handcrafted in small batches using only natural ingredients: Lard, water, sodium hydroxide, lavender essential oil, rose clay, arrowroot, rosemary extract.
The Antonines were an order of monks who were followers of St. Anthony of Egypt . They used lard and medicinal herbs to anoint the sick afflicted by a skin disease called St. Anthony’s Fire.
