Happy Friday, St. Isidore Market Family!
Spring brings with it those cool & rainy days when slow-cooked comfort food is simply an order. That’s why this week at the St. Isidore Market we’re featuring Chuck Roast from Crestview for an easy and filling pot roast dinner for the whole family! Need some inspiration for a tender pot roast? We’ve got you covered – read on!
- New Jam. Need a taste of the tropics as the weather warms up? Bradley at Farmhouse Kitchen has just the thing for you: Pineapple Jam! While the pineapple (probably) isn’t grown locally, all seven flavors of Bradley’s jam is produced in nearby Martinsburg! Try them all and find your favorite. Shop Farmhouse Kitchen.
- About That Roast. A regular customer of the Market recently special ordered a Chuck Roast and told me afterwards that it was “fabulous and tender” and “none of it was left” after the meal; Her guests loved it! Don’t know where to begin? Here’s A Simple Recipe to get you started. Shop Crestview Meat Market.
- Tomato Plants. Growing season is upon us! Blue Mountain Farm has two kinds of tomato plants for your backyard garden: Big Boy Tomato Plants and Cherokee Purple Tomato Plants. Nothing tastes better than a fresh tomato grown in your own back yard! Shop Blue Mountain Farm.
- Ice Cream! With warmer weather one needs ways to cool off – why not cool down the tasty and local way with 17 Flavors of Ice Cream from County Creamery?
- Volunteers. We could use more volunteers to help run the Market each Thursday from 4-7:30 pm. Our Market team can use help with a variety of tasks including set up & tear down, greeting & assisting customers, assembling orders, restocking and organizing the display tables, and other tasks. Please reach out to me if you can help any or all of the Market even if it’s only once a month.
Enjoy these and over 210 other farm fresh foods and artisan local products from the St. Isidore Market! Order NOW through Tuesday at noon and we’ll see you this coming Thursday the 25th at St. James from 5-6:30 pm!
