Lard mimics our natural skin oils which makes our soaps especially nourishing. It’s a gentle and natural way to cleanse your skin. Our soaps use lard from a small family farm in Blacksburg, Virginia and are handcrafted in small batches using only natural ingredients: Lard, water, sodium hydroxide, orange, cinnamon and clove essential oils, organic cinnamon, arrowroot, rosemary extract.
The Antonines were an order of monks who were followers of St. Anthony of Egypt. They used lard and medicinal herbs to anoint the sick afflicted by a skin disease called St. Anthony’s Fire.
